Synopsis

When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel, and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford on the show, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted a "Harrison Ford type" and was going to participate in the selection of people who looked like Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they had to at least pitch it to Ford, thinking he would immediately decline, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had been pitched the project, generating interest from other notable actors.

Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he was elated nonetheless.. From the reviews I’m reading here, it seems like people either like the show or really dislike it, and it seems like it might depend on the reviewers’ reaction to Jason Segal.
The relationships are complex and emotional, and the very real human challenges are well drawn
I’ve loved his movies and I think he’s perfect for this role – and adding Harrison Ford takes the show to an even higher level. The writing is great, the story is fresh, and the characters are original without going too stereotypically weird.
It can be funny and bring you to tears the next minute
After the second episode, I was really disappointed when I realized that I would have to wait for more. Highly recommend!
